Adopt-A-Beach

On May 26th New Jersey Beach Buggy Assn. received the "Clean Communities Award" for all the times that we participated in the Adopt-A Beach Program doing the beach clean-ups.

I would like to thank everyone that came out to help on the beach clean ups, and supporting NJBBA in this program. It is members and people like you that helped us receive this Award.

Thank You

Paul Harris - Pres.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Adopt a Beach program

fosters volunteer stewardship of the State's coastal beaches and reduces the threat of marine debris to fish and wildlife. The DEP selects two days per year, one in the spring and one in the fall, for coast wide cleanups. Program volunteers adopt beaches for one year, agreeing to clean the beach of litter and debris on designated cleanup days. Adopt a Beach volunteers have been removing marine debris from the State's shorelines since 1993. All cleanups start at 8:00 a.m. Call for information about future dates for cleanups at DEP at (609) 29-BEACH or check the calendar of events.
