September 12, 2026...This years weather was just as perfect as it was for the 30th Annual Event. Sunny skies, a warm 80 degrees with a 9 mph
Northeast breeze.  Seventeen girls and twenty-eight boys were this years participants, starting at 3 years of age and ending at 15 years old.

A lot of under sized fluke were caught, along with a couple cow-nosed rays. No striped bass, bluefish, kingfish, or even a sea robin made an appearance on this day.  Only three (3) fish were measured and entered into the winners circle. A 16 1/4” fluke was the largest fish entered, along with a 14 1/2” cow-nosed ray. 

 
The first fish caught, an 11 1/2” cow-nosed ray won the special “Bill Snyder, Sr. First Fish Award” along with a crisp $1.00 bill...all winners received trophies, gift cards, and a 9' combo. Every participant had their pick from 5 tables containing 130 assorted prizes. They all went home with a gift and a smile. A big thank you goes to New Jersey Fish and Wildlife, 18 t-shirt sponsors and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Dept. #1.

 

The 30th Annual NJBBA event was a huge success! .
